I was at MoCCA this weekend! It was my first time to be at MoCCA ever.
Here is a small snap of the table I shared with
Hilary Florido, Matt Hawkins, and Katie Skelly. In the photo you can see my books as well as Hilary's books and her wonderful Cutie Honey screenprint.

MoCCA was held at a new venue this year, and it was really hot. I hope that they have some more fans or something next year. Aside from the heat, it was an interesting event. I was glad that I could take part in it. I was able to meet a lot of really cool people for the first time and see some old friends. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the table! Also, a big thank you to everyone that I got a chance to hang out with. It was great to spend time with you all- that totally made the trip worth it!
I was really overwhelmed though- there was so much to look at and I ended up missing a lot of tables and people that I had planned to see but I totally forgot. I combined the trip with work too so I was really busy all weekend. I didn't have any time to do any shopping (wanted to stop at Book-Off) or eat well for most of the time- though I did get to eat Shake Shack ice cream and went to a Japanese izakaya on Sunday to gain back energy from the last day of MoCCA. I was too tired to attend any of the parties or after-MoCCA events, but that's okay. XD
I picked up some really cool books which I will try to review some time soon- but as always I feel like I didn't get enough! D: I forgot to pick up Lamar Abram's REMAKE and couldn't find Jess Fink's table and totally didn't have time to look at the books offered by the artists from Europe. ;_;
Sales-wise, I did okay- sold enough to cover for the table and my food and transportation costs within NYC- which is pretty awesome for my first time at a small press event like this! I signed up with the same group of people to share a table next year even though I'm still not certain that I can make it or not. Might not go unless I had a new OSCP book or something substantial to show.
edit: Forgot to add that we completely sold out of the copies of the glasses-themed anthology
Saisons des Lunettes that I took part in! Well, I didn't bring so many copies to start with but it felt great to sell out of something. :D You can find out how to order your copy by clicking on that link above.
By the way---
You can now order the Litchi Hikari Club doujinshi I contributed to by mail order!
Close-up of the Litchi Hikari Club doujinshi (on the left):

I contributed five pages to a small anthology Japanese doujinshi for the minor manga title Litchi Hikari Club by Usamaru Furuya. The website for the project is is
here. The book is in Japanese, 50 pages in offset printing with a colour cover. You can order it for 500yen + shipping. There are 11 contributors - 7 illustrations/short gag contributions and 5 short stories. For this book the organizer accepts payment via snail mail with international postal money order or cash in Japanese yen or US dollars.
Please use the mail form on the site to put your order. The
direct link to the email form is here. Here is the order of the things to fill out in the form: 1) name 2) email address 3) home page URL (not required) 4) subject of email (just write "Doujinshi order") 5) message (write your mailing address here and tell us how many copies of the doujinshi you want to order).
You can write in English or Japanese. English mails will go directly to me and I will help you figure how to pay and other concerns. Anyway, it would be great if at least ONE person would order or something since it took a lot of work to convince the organizer to take orders from outside of Japan. @A@/// Let me know if you any questions or concerns about ordering.
Thanks for your support!!!! m(_ _)m
